ASSOCIAZIONE FRIULI STORIA
The Associazione Friuli Storia was created in 2013 to promote standards of excellence in the writing of history books for a general readership.
In 2014 it created the Friuli Book Prize for Contemporary History, the only national Italian literary prize for non-fiction which entrusts the selection of the winner to a committee of non-specialist readers.
In 2019, the Association inaugurated its research program with the call for papers for the workshop on ‘Soviet foreign policy during the Second World War’, which will be held in Udine (Italy), 14-16 May 2020.
General secretary
Dr Tommaso Piffer is an Assistant Professor of Contemporary history at the University of Udine. Previously, he was a Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Cambridge and Harvard University, a post-doctoral fellow at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow and the Bodossakis Junior Research Fellow at Churchill College, University of Cambridge
